I have finally caught up with my Ask inbox!

After having my inbox closed for probably a month or so (I really should note this shit down), I have finally reached the latest ask and queued it up.

Shits Changing

After having a couple weeks of going through your submissions, I had some ideas on how to improve this system because it wasn't working for me and wasn't working for many of you either (as evidenced by the confusion from some people when the 17th Zetsubou song came on). I tried to mitigate this by putting a day or two between songs from the same artist or anime but it wasn't perfect and didn't fix the issues I was having on my end (namely that I just don't want to listen to an animes whole ost for an hour)

From now onwards I will be doing submissions through google forms (or some kind of alternative if something catches my attention. If you have any reccs, lemme know). I will have the submission form open until I get roughly 50 songs (subject to change if I think its too many or too little) and there will only be one song per submission. You will have to be logged into google to make your submission although I will get no data about who sent what, its just a way to stop people from making 17 submissions under the same email. If you want to game the system, I'm gonna make you put atleast a little bit of effort into it.

However do not be discouraged, it doesn't mean you get one submission ever, it just means you only get one submission per submission period. At a rough estimate of how many songs I queue up a week, you will probably get about one submission a week/fortnight.

The latest submission form will always be amongst the blogs links thing (if you can't tell at this point, I am not particularly good at tumblr and honestly have no idea what half the stuff is called.)

I'll just post a picture and hopefully it will make more sense. I will also be making a post everytime a new submission form is made as well.

But what about my submission, I haven't heard it yet?

If you haven't heard your submission by Poll #493, that means I haven't queued it up. This can be for multiple reasons. The biggest one is that you didn't give me enough information and I could not be fucked scouring the internet trying to decipher your submission so I will be making certain info required for future submissions. Don't be discouraged if you didn't hear your song at that point, it doesn't mean that I hate it and never want to listen to it again, just resubmit it in the new submisssion form with the required information and I will happily throw it in the queue.

Back to the Asks

The ask feature will now go back to being used as intended, namely to ask me personal questions and blog related questions. Any submissions sent through it will just be ignored and deleted but if you want to ask me about my favourite food, favourite anime or my opinion on anything, I will happily answer.

We have been putting this off for a long while now but now its time to do this, and simply to say, we are a plural system that uses the collective name of "The Whirl Production House", Ava, or Whirl, and if you know us you know there is a tendency for us to be quite nerdy or atleast a collection of dorks obessed with more artistic endeavors. And beyond this it should be noted we are mostly a grouping of differing levels of otherkin sort of deals ranging between those of us who are fictives to those who are kins with very little shifting beyond that if at all. Mentioning that we should probably shift into introductions of individual members of our collective. I will say individual members because we are more so at the multiple end of the plural spectrum of things where its kinda easy to tell there are several of us up here, without bleed-through unless we are feeling blendy/foggy on who is fronting.

Also something to note, we gernally do not fall into Plural related labels and are still early in the processes of System stuff even though its been a few months since syscovery. Part of the reason is because the only ones of us that care about assigning labels feel we do not know enough to label everything, only using labels we do have an idea of working as apart of our system. Will those labels be disclosed? Not in this post atleast.

A Quick Rundown

We are the Whirl Production House system or Whirlproductions, a system to which is still figuring shit out who has an open mind to things so to get syscourse out of the way we are Pro Endo. I will say I am not afraid of blocking people as we generally do not care what you think but if you are annoying there is a way to make you shut up on our feed or notifs. Beyond that we generally face things with caution and are still learning about many things, we have a few ideas on who is what kind of roles but I will not share them and for origins I will say its either unknown or a mixture of several probably, with stress being a detriment at times and is part of the reason why we are not out publically about the Trans stuff alone IRL. We stress easily and have chronic illness (Some form of lung related thing as well as Fatigue) so if we are slow on the uptick please keep that in mind.

This section is mainly here because of system members who have either been identified or appeared once and haven't been active at really all and we do not know if they are apart of our system still or if their existence is confirmed outside of small blips:

Duana - Moth monstergirl who kinda was the main one angry at everything and was the host for a bit before Sylvia and Lucinda took the reigns, was noted as a member pre-syscovery by those who knew the system was a thing sort of passively back then and she hasn't reappeared in a long time.

Aria - Robot girl who appeared once for like half a day before disappearing into the ether of our brain, do not know if she was a fragment with more of a sense of self or if she is a headmate but she is logged on our SimplyPlural

Clémente Dearworth - Yaelokre Fictive, who appeared in our system very recently and is a middle

Nicole Demara - ZZZ Fictive, who also appeared in our system very recently. And is active, this may get updated again to add her to the main list of things. 🩷

??? - A third pressence of recent editions is known but is unknown.

Questioning on if they are Kins or Members of our System

Mentzelia Laev (OC), its less so feeling like we get too into the mindset of the character, its generally an aspect closer to Clemmie where I feel there is a potential Kin but its more further back, or maybe being someone who is currently not active in the system. Either way Bug Lady had a specific sense of self that has not changed much and would explain the like autumn we were obsessed with blacksmithing and medieval weapons.

Lethica Nightborne (Legends of Avantris, Edge of Midnight), This one is more of a situation where I do not know but suspect she could potentially be like one my brain has picked up upon in a similar sense to Avarstia, Ceroba, and Dendro, a character who is more of a comforting pressence than similar tracks of trauma.

Vash the Stampede (Trigun), this one I think is or will be a kin, I do not see the aspect of them as a headmate being likely given the difference in thoughts but I feel atleast someone in our system will be a kin of Vash... Just has those vibes.

Falin or Marcille (Dungeon Meshi), Again I feel its more of a kin but its somewhere as it was a moment months ago admist the whole identity crisis of syscovery, that I ended up going on a spree and you can check my Tumblr back in April to see it, we were still figuring things out so I have no clue who it would have been. Either way, I feel it may come back again when Dungeon Meshi season 2 drops given the more laxed nature of it all atm.

Burnice White (Zenless Zone Zero), a new one and is the first documented adition. There has been a back and forth between her being a kin or the budding of a headmate, but either way, one tie to Lucinda.

In other words do not be surprised if we update this post to mention them beyond this section, whether as a offhanded mention of a Kin or as apart of our system full on. This section may be updated or maybe not I will say though.

do you know how hard it is to fabricate an OC without feeling like you're attaching them too acutely to the main story / giving them main character syndrome. anyway, here's ki's basic lore. it's very much altered from when i first designed him, so the art is very much based on his initial conceptualisation and was commissioned by me through a friend ( i dont have the artists twitter but i will do my utmost to source it for credit sake ) i'll also add a face claim i once had of him which does depict him more in his time on the xianzhou. < i did a bit of adjusting, thank u 2 saint >

It is said that when a foxian kit reaches for one of three objects a path will be granted to them and for him, it was the sword. with a proclivity for close quarters combat and expertise in swords play it was inevitable that when the advent of war came to the xianzhou and with that, the third abundance war, that he would rise to meet the military’s call to arms. by this time he was a prominent swordsman, with skills that hindered the abundance’s troops. however, when the rainbow arbiter struck down the armies and the perpetuated bloodshed came to its conclusion he was tallied amongst those fallen. he does not recall vividly the days of conflict, if anything they are amorphous hauntings of a life before and suffused with suffering. he died on the battlefield and alongside did his identity. Ki cannot say precisely who spared his life on that calamitous field of death and fire but he awoke, facilitated for healing, the consensus came to between the almost fatally wounded foxian and the benefactor was that in exchange for his life, he would pledge his to the benefactor. with his memories nothing but an incessant pang of  reminiscence for a blade he once wielded, he accepted the masked strangers offer and thus, their pact was sealed. the foxian works at a tavern, often utilized by the masked fools as a place of revelry. as the barkeep Ki is an affable, compassionate man who accommodates those who find themselves at the tavern, drawn into a mystical, if not perilous world of mirthful carousing. there is little left of the once ambitious, exuberant youth who had wielded his blade for the sake of his homeland. he has had contact consistently with his benefactor, a masked man, whose face was never revealed to him, both in the tavern and in the outside world, he knows himself to be an asset to that man and continues to operate under the understanding that he owes this person his life. any semblance of the life he once led comes back to him only in abstract dreams, a face, or a blade, or an inundation of surging crimson blood and agony. He believes, truthfully, that the life he follows now is more peaceful and holds no intention of his own to return to his homelands. for the sake of gathering intel, keeping tabs on the operations of specific, influential individuals and those who fall to inebriation to elevate their spirits, he was allocated to work in penacony, as a bartender in the entertainment district of the dreamscape. He’s made quite a name for himself as one who is both eloquent and talented at mixing a delicious cocktail or two. Ki, currently, maintains the facade of an employee while also furtively supplying information to his benefactor. hi guys, bad news (for you atleast): im taking a step back from the whole "therian music" idea because my sound has taken a huge shift (from the ambient techno shit linked above, to something more hectic & somewhat rock inspired) & with that comes a new approach to my compositions. im tryna incorporate my vocals into my music more often & im not exactly sure how to communicate the therian experience lyrically just yet if that makes sense?

like for example my song "blacknight" has vocals but theyre not the main focus at all, used moreso as a background element, so theyre naturally dry & straightforward ("i was outside // in the black night // hunting mice // what happened to my wolf life") as its a more instrumentally charged track on an almost entirely instrumental album. my newer songs however, such as "victor of who now?" are more centered around the lyrics & as a result more analogies & poetry went into them, mainly revolving around grotesque analogies for traumatic memories of mine. ive also switched programs from jummbox to bandlab in order to support my new artistic vision.

im nowhere near skilled enough to take a stab at expressing species dysphoria in that same style of writing because its such a specific idea that i effectively have to narrow it down to the point of feeling forced if that makes sense? i could poeticize(?) it but that would come at the cost of making it extremely vague & possibly muddying the relatability of the subject matter, but i dont wanna sacrifice my desired angle of writing just to cater to one specific idea that barely anybody can even wrap their head around

Addressing the Issue

This entire post is to address an incident that took place on the Magic Shop Net server which later became a public issue after My understanding of what @kingsuckjin (I'm unable to tag them due to an issue with my phone but I'm leaving the tag in there incase they see it) and @btsaudge posted about it on their blogs:

The last 24 hours ish have been rather stressful and confusing for me as something that I never imagined in my wildest dreams would happen, has happened.

As many of you may or may not know, I have been and am currently affiliated with a few Writer's Networks and have been for a while now. A few months ago, an incident occured in one of them which left me rather hurt and upset. I talked about some of it in an older post so you can read it but neither have I there nor will I here go in depth into what happened as the entire issue was dealt with privately and that was the end of it.

The reason I bring it up is that after that incident, I stopped talking it engaging much in other Network servers that I was on, in fear that something wrong would happen again. But of course it did.

Due to the fact that a safe word was used in the chat, I do not have any screenshots or receipts to clarify what was said as the chats were wiped. What I am going to do though is go through the screenshots posted by the aforementioned two people on their tumblr and dissect what was said.

@moccahobi was one of the people who I discussed this matter with before going public with it as it was them who informed me about the posts in the first place.

A few things need to be made clear before I proceed:

(1) I am no longer stan BTS or identify as an army. Now before you jump to conclusions, hear me out. This in no way means I hate the boys or classify as a "hater". I love, respect and admire the boys as artists and as people and am grateful to them for introducing me to kpop and for helping me through tough times

(2) I am a trained singer in Hindustani, Carnatic, and Western Classical music and have been singing all my life. I am also a music producer working to make a career out of my music. This is important as we get into the meat of the issue.

First, let's address the "allegations" or "arguments" made by the two people in question

The main two points made here was:

(1) I (or we) was critiquing their voices

(2) I (or we) was critiquing their weight

The points made here was:

(3) I (or we) was discussing songs of BTS that I didn't like

(4) I (or we) was critiquing their voices

(5) I (or we) was critiquing their wheight

(6) I (or we) was critiquing what they ate

(7) I (or we) was encouraging a negative stereotype about people being fat.

Let's go over the actual conversation with context, shall we?

Now as I mentioned before, since the messages were deleted I don't have receipts but you can reference my claims with @moccahobi or decide for yourself whom to trust:

First let's address talking about songs of their we didn't like (argument no. 3):

The whole conversation started in the first place when I asked in the chat if anyone had any unpopular K-pop Opinions for a video I was working on for my YouTube channel. This led to one of the people in the chat mentioning that had big BTS opinions and I said that MOTS 7, I'm my opinion is the worst album BTS has ever released. For context: I was still army at the time when the album dropped.

This discussion was from a place of honesty where I said why I didn't like certain songs of theirs. In the chat there is a mention of not having meaningful lyrics: I listened to Bollywood music growing up and there are a lot of songs in that genre that exist for fun and have no deep meaning and sometimes such songs are required to break up the "deepness" of the songs.

As a producer myself, I found the songs rather generic and boring and I talked about that. The argument of "the boys would feel so bad" is no reason for not judging their music objectively.

Secondly, let's talk about the whole critiquing their voices thing (argument no: 1 & 4)

(only a statement made by @strawbxxymilk was available to me but I'm just giving context to what the fuller intention of the conversation was because this text is clearly taken out of context)

I, as mentioned before am a trained singer and it really worries me to see that the boys are using techniques of singing that could affect the longevity of their voice and career because I care. I never talked about their tonal quality so it was never about "taste" it was an objective analysis of technique.

I want the boys to do well and have long careers that's why I worry. I want them to do well and yet you say "it sounds like they don't like BTS at all". You can have your opinion and I can have my own but it doesn't mean I don't like the boys.

Lastly, I would like to address the whole wheight issue (argument no: 2, 5, 6 & 7):

First of all; I'm overwheight/healthy/fat whatever you call it. I hate people being fat shamed because I have been all my life. That was the entire point of the discussion which is being misinterpreted or misrepresented. My definition of "fat" or "overwheight" is that of being over a wheight that is considered medically healthy and NOT culturally or socially accepted.

I was outraged by people calling two of the people who inspired me to become musicians, Youngjae of GOT7 and Suga, fat because they are not. They are below the norm in my opinion. I find it disrespectful when people call people who are clearly doing well and healthy fat and that's why I discussed that matter. Also I have no memory of ever engaging in discussing "what the boys ate" . Now there is no way to prove either side of the argument as there are no available screenshots atleast with me to prove that and the chat is wiped clean. If there is proof though, I would suggest the two people who made this issue to come forth with them and I will retract this part (and only this part) of my statement regarding the 'what they ate' issue.

(I was given clarification by @moccahobi that she mentioned that the boys are not eating "nine cups of ramen" as they were before but that comment had nothing to do with their wheight, it was only about them being able to afford and eating proper decent meals)

After the RoTJ, ForceGhost!Qui-Gon appears and smooches ForceGhost!Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan deages in each frame till he looks like a Padawan.

May's tutorial on how to take 2000s looking pics! This is not just for scene and/or emo kids, although ofcourse yall can use this!

Here are a few things you can do to make pictures look like they were taken in the 2000s!

What better way to look 2000s than when you use 2000s technology?

Exemples of things you could take a pic with are: an ipod, or any mp3 player actually, 2000s looking cd players, PS2 controllers (make sure it actually looks like you're playing or believe me, someone will notice!) or xbox controller (if you use older consoles of any type, the vibe might look more 90s but if you manage you can still make it work)

If you can't take a picture next to or with 2000s technology... anything? Well maybe you can take a selfie with a fliphone, or a T Mobile Sidekick (if you have one, lucky you!) or even a Nintendo DS if you've got one of those with the camera! Mirror selfies were also a thing of the (mid?) 2000s if they were taken with an actual camera! Let's also not forget the webcam pictures!

Here's one I took for example:

Special "effects"/ Editing:

One thing that makes almost all pictures look so much more aesthetic/better: putting the flash on! I promise it works almost all of the time, the picture will look more high quality and clearer even though it is the same quality as without! If you think your outfit might not be too great or you'd like to make it look like it was taken with a low quality phone, blur the picture! It could also just look artistic, which works just as good.

As for the editing, Glitter, like edits made on Blingee, turning up the contrast, putting a filter (or a few) that give off a blue hue or darker, add in your FriendProject profile number, or your nickname in a grungy font, or photoshop yourself in front of a cute butterfly background!

The poses and angles!

Taking a picture with only this information might not be enough to make it look as 2000s as you want it to be, so now let's see another thing; the poses and the angles! Especially when you take a selfie, do not understimate the power of the "myspace angle" as you might've heard before, the super high angle from which you take the selfie, in which you could include your whole outfit. I know, out of experience, that the position in which you have to try and stand to get your whole outfit in the picture is very, VERY uncomfortable, but trust me it's worth it!

Other angles/poses you could use are for example the ones in which you position the camera, phone or whatever you take your pictures with at your feet, put a timer or make someone take the picture for you, in an angle at which your feet will look bigger than your head and your whole outfit will be visible again! This one's hard to explain but here's an example, again from one of my pics because I couldn't find one from someone else: (putting "myspace picture big feet" on google, does in fact, not work)

Shoutouts from most known myspace celebs were a big thing back then, with the name of someone (or their own, partly to prove they aren't catfish) written on their hand or a piece of paper, as well as showing off fake tattoos made with sharpies, or something like "I love you!" on the palm of your head, so standing there showing it, could, somehow be a pose? I guess so... oh well, this is still something that would've been on this list!

There are many more (like for example the ones where your legs look broken as you sit on the floor, or the one where you are showing off your room plastered with posters..) but just know not to just stand there looking lost (unless that's what you're going for), be either VERY dramatic with the poses or super casual, no in betweens or you'll probably look awkward!

Dramatic makeup and hair!

Of course... To keep on being dramatic, because the 2000s very much were, (as every decade, in their own way, but you get what I mean) hair was often in crazy colors and or haircuts! Even if you were neither emo nor scene, celebrities like Christina Aguilera or Kelly Clarkson, to Matt Tuck (that's right!) had highlights in their hair, or just dyed parts of their hair, usually blonde, black or red, but chalk haircolor exists in many colors, so go crazy on that!

Not only that but side ponytails, extensions, crimped hair, face framing bangs, spiky gelled hair etc. Even if you aren't emo or scene, your hair can cover one of your eyes for the picture!

Makeup had to be very visible, especially as a scene kid or emo kid with the overflowing amount of eyeliner, and colorful mascara or anything that you could find to be original and "artsy" really, but also for any other person! Makeup looks that were usual attire were for example: LIPGLOSS, blue, purple, white or eyeshadow, frosty pink lipstick, a lot of mascara, colorful eyeliner, rosy cheeks, or lined lips (darker on the outside) but none of that would be complete without thin eyebrows! Fake tans are also a go-to if you're feeling it!

Now, if you're too scared to use hairchalk or dye your hair, and you aren't too good at makeup, no worries, you've still got other options!

Props and accessories!

Big sunglasses.. yes, even indoors! Rimmed glasses, Colored lenses, "Bug eye" sunglasses, there are many to choose from! Scarves, very unnecessary but pretty cool looking! Hoop earrings were also in! For guys too, jewelry was often worn, for example diamond earrings, shell necklaces, as well as the typical "gangsta wear", you would've guessed it: the dollar sign necklace or chunky golden chains/necklaces. They were ofcourse not first worn during the 2000s, but they were definitely still very much worn then! Other jewelry often worn were silly bands, wristbands, kandi bracelets and necklaces. You can even wear fake piercings!

As for headwear, still many to choose from, like trucker hats, both for guys and girls and anyone who'd like to wear those, bandanas, fedora hats, (do not recommend, 80% of the time you'll look awkward, but you can't know if you're part of the 20% that could rock the look if you don't atleast try, I guess) "baker boy hats" and big huge bows for all my scene beans out there. Belts. BeLtS! A lot, too much, 3 of them, or one big one, just find whatever you have and wear the goddamn belts! Fishnets! Fingerless gloves! They were very much in, and not just for scemo kids!

Not only is it about things you can wear, but also things you can use for the picture, you can look cute while holding a plush toy, (bonus points if you've got a gloomy bear, hello kitty or gir plush!) mysterious while holding a notebook/ diary of some sort or nerdy with your favorite book, but a lot of pictures get much more fun when they are super random, for example like kiki kannibal, just casually holding a lamp in her garden...

Clothing!

Now, this one will be short as I will mainly give you guys links to some articles that talk about 2000s fashion, but here's a thing: If you're going for a very "in your face" kind of style, go fully crazy lol! Scene kids get your neon green tights or red ripped skinnies out and wear all of the colors, preps wear your shiniest Playboy logo shirt, goths and emos you better wear your nicest black knee high converse, all of it!! Go fucking over the top because truly, it was rarely ever over the top in the 2000s! Also, did I mention? Cringe culture is dead, nobody cares if you somehow manage to truly go a little too far! If you're feeling yourself, don't hesitate to show a little skin, (I don't mean totally naked, duh, especially if you're a minor plz no it's usually a very bad idea) ain't nothing wrong with mini skirts or crop tops! (guys, GUYS please wear them too if you feel like it, I promise you a lot of us think that's hot okaythatsall)

The Potential for Horror Art in a High Art Context (Horror at the IKON) (Horror in the Modernist Block)

As I was searching for fitting opportunities for my practice after my studies, in particular, looking for a fix job or some kind of work experience within the industry, I found an exhibition at the IKON that hooked me, which isn’t a common experience, as It’s difficult to find exhibitions which speak to my subjects of interest and processes of art making. This Exhibition at the icon shows that horror as a new age iconography and experience are certainly starting to rear their head into the mainstream space, it shows that I’m not alone in wanting explicit horror to have it’s place at the table of contemporary art discourse, finally. Though it’s still early days of course and so I don’t expect to see how horror exhibitions popping up everywhere by the end of the year (even this show won’t be open to the public until late November, in turn missing the best time to exhibit during Halloween, yet it’s my assumption that they have done this on purpose just to miss a tacky association with the Americanised holiday, though by April it will atleast align with Walpurgis nacht, a satanist event as well as a christian one akin to Halloween yet far older and more pagan in it’s origin against the more marketable image of Halloween now from it’s lesser roots in Irish folklore, both events represent a crossing of the borders from the sensible into the occultic in some way or another, but Halloween has been castrated compared to the more occult connations of Walpurgis Nacht to LaVeyanists. 

This show looks to be quite promising and akin to a haunted house concept, that of stepping directly into darkness and actual horror in the experience of an exhibition context, sounds like it may work with elements of psychological torture and sensory paranoia in the space. Though based on the description the show looks to have more political and social connotations compared to the more overt comments I have made so far:

“Modern architecture is often associated with the horror genre. In fiction and film, high-rise towers and concrete buildings form the backdrop to terrifying stories of dystopias. Ikon presents new and recent work by contemporary artists exploring the relationship between the aesthetics of architectural modernism and horror.

The exhibition takes Birmingham as its starting point, a city renowned for its brutalist architecture, and brings together work by regional, UK and international artists. It considers how these artists unpack the often-contested legacies of modernist buildings through the lens of horror by linking its tropes (suspense, darkness) with qualities of modernist design. Configured in dialogue with the architecture of Ikon’s galleries, it will take viewers on a journey that highlights how the design and features of a building can shape not only our movement and perception, but also our deepest fears.”

Overall, I don’t know if it will explicitly inform my practice as I am less about architecture and more about naturalism and portraiture, but given the amount of writing from lovecraft about the suspense found in ancient and cyclopean architecture in the At the Mountains of Madness (1931), to the mystery in how Poe writes of the physical decay and almost corpse like qualities of the House of Usher in the story of The fall of the House of Usher (1839), buildings and people share the same structure in design and dissection, and so for us to find buildings and their authors disturbing, this is due to us seeing such creations as Frankenstein-ian monsters in an age which looks to such out dated designs and historical backgrounds as something to challenge and question for the sake of informing future decisions about what we want to make for those after us, speaking to the fears of how what we leave behind can represent us as better or worse than those who will posthumously judge us. It should be a good show for those reasons, but it’s a shame the artists involved aren’t spoken of too frequently yet, might be good to find some network to delve into once this show is up and running.

Matching tattoo cover up and weird feelings.

Hello tattoo artist and tattoo enthusiasts of Reddit. I’ll try make this short.

So, 6 years ago I got a matching tattoo with my husband it was something that we mutually identified with. It was his first tattoo and his idea. Over time he began to dislike it and identify less with it. Fast forward to the weekend he gets it covered up, it’s a good tattoo for all artistic purposes. But it makes me feel not good enough? Like he doesn’t understand that people get tattoos together and that it symbolizes a sense of permanence atleast to me it does. So yeah, I still have the original on my body and it’s like a bad memory of how something we once shared and I was proud of I now feel like I should feel shame for or something. I don’t know that I want mine covered but because it’s still a part of me and my identity. But I can’t look down and feel okay knowing I no longer match. He offered to eventually match with me but honestly why should I match with him when he doesn’t understand how I feel. I don’t even feel like I can go to the same shop as him because I’m still walking around with the original and it’s fucking embarrassing because what if I get asked why he got his covered up it’s a whole can of worms I’m not even going to get into here. I supportive in the sense that he likes his body more. That’s great but it’s just another reason why I just feel like a replaceable sack of flesh.

Jamie Foxx CONFIRMED for Spawn Reboot

Update: Jamie Foxx has been confirmed to play Spawn in this new reboot by the comic creator and artist Todd McFarlane in association with Blumhouse Productions which made news last year with its movie Get Out. It is said that they are taking more of a horror approach, as well as Spawn not really speaking. That works good with Jason or Michael Myers but some dialog would be good I hope they rethink that. I would like to see what the official word is from Todd McFarlane himself but Spawn not saying anything doesn’t sound right to me. With Spawn returning I would like to see something good not as crazy as Saw but something well thought out. After looking at more than one example whether music or movies it looks like they are running out of ideas or mixing boundaries with real life and business. Some are hard to tell and then some are blatant and with even Spawn not talking its starting to fit other trends that need restructuring or I’m the only one noticing would like to see the movie succeed with more in the future. 

Update: Since Spawn has been anticipated by fans of the comic, movies and video games here is the History of Spawn by Variant very entertaining and knowledgeable to watch and History of the Warrior talks about the real reason Spawn wasn’t in Injustice 2 well thought out and entertaining.

Black Panther came out earlier this year and has had one of the largest debuts for a movie in history below you can check out what real life super hero Phoenix Jones thoughts what to expect during its opening week. It was an alternative view that was entertaining to check out. You can check out the Dolby Trailer for Black Panther that is now out on Blu Ray here and with Sony getting bug fixes for Dolby Vision on its TV’s with the X1 Extreme chipset you can check out Black Panther on one of the many streaming apps that come with them I suggest VUDU as of right now to rent or when it comes to Netflix in October or November 2018.

"Black Panther" expected to have a massive opening at the box office

The second season of Luke Cage is getting ready to start and with the success of last season the his run on The Defenders with Dare Devil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist not sure what to expect or if it will stay true to what we expect from the comic. Seems to becoming more of a vigilante than businessman but he always had good intentions that could be view differently from opposing forces would like to see where it goes this season.

Jigsaw ON SET of Punisher Season 2

Checked out the trailer for the new season of Supermansion Season 3 it is a nice combination of concepts seen in comics as I was growing up so was already a fan of something custom and new. When I was young I used to draw my own comics had a character based off The Punisher and Deadpool called Lightning Bolt. He was an assassin that had lighting powers but would use guns like  Spawn. Got into Mugen a freeware learning tool and was a part of 2 different teams one for DC Comics the other for Mortal Kombat. 

Since it is more of a learning tool you have more freedom to do what ever you want so you can venture off later and do you own work. I would suggest going to college but this was a good way for me in my situation. You get prepared mentally about whats legal, what other creators like and don’t, and what the fans want. A great experience for anyone wanting to go into that field. For any fans who want something original, custom or atleast interested in doing your own thing check out some of the links below they have some of the most innovative games out, custom mugen characters, and information about Unreal Marketplace and how to get involved making your own games with it. WHO? WHAT? WHERE? WHY? HOW?

5 Questions you should ask anyone when they’re starting off a project made from the basis of ego and tenacity. I’m really not a particularly smart person, But I’m smart enough to know how dumb I really am.

I’ve always been itching to do this. Twitter was never a great way to display my thoughts and writing on grounds that by limiting characters your characters by tweet you’d either get into long threads of diatribes that likely no one will even read or you’d have to space out your thoughts and mince words in order to fit to these said limitations. Obviously it’s not a bad way per say to fully flesh out your thoughts but there’s obviously some downsides and you won’t be fully capable of fulfilling those quandaries, much so espousing on your thoughts and opinions to the fullest extent. I could write a book but I’m not knowledgeable enough feel like my thoughts are worth putting into a non-fiction book. I could join discord servers but I don’t know a wreath of people who even care. I could still talk off into the Twitter void but that’s only for short bursts at a time, any ideas or subjects I’d like to elucidate or spell out would just get lost, all my themes would shoot off into the negative space that is a twitter timeline regardless of if they’re worth revisiting or not.

But of course, would it even matter if people do care or they don’t. People live off making Youtube videos and content based on themselves because they assume people actually care about whatever benign thought or creative pursuit they’d have in their head. It’s not up to me to judge if my thoughts are worth putting out there but I guess the reason people use social media is to give a voice to the voiceless, have anyone out there a chance of their own success, But how does that affect content input though, How does impact your very own mental psyche. This is a conversation for another post and it’s far from a topic I’ll have any meaningful outlook on, just from my own experiences as an outsider looking in.

WHO?

I always fancied myself a writer more than an illustrator. The whole crux of my need to learn how to draw was from the idea that “hey no one wants to draw my webcomic ideas on something awful or whatever internet messaging board I was using at the time that’ll date this post when I look back on it when I’m 40, I’ll learn how to draw then and show everyone I can STILL MAKE IT” Then I started drawing and never really looked back. Within the few years or so since I’ve made that discovery I never really focused on my writing, much less my creative writing. I’ve had few instances where I’d try to light up my spark by blog posting was making other short lived wordpresses and blogspots where I can peruse and write for a short while until I get bored and go back to drawing everyday. Of course two particular things happened in which I’ve gotten that spark back, to an extent. 1. The corona virus quarantine happened and I was stuck with nothing to do, I dropped out of school to go to a new college out of country that hasn’t really happened yet and aside from my retail job I haven’t had a good outlet for where to put my creativity too. So I ended up just drawing more but also, reading off some books off my backlog. I’ve always been interested in philosophy and non-fiction since reading Kant and Hume at age 12 and Now rediscovered it because of quarantine. Really I’ve always been a better writer or story teller than anything else but efforts to light up that energy in me has been fruitful and I’ve relegated to being another artist in the pile of artists who’s only personality is that they “like art”. Which made me realized how much of a better self sufficient and self respecting the writer can be rather then the animator. Illustrations are fleeting, words stick with you. Of course greats work of art exist and will always exist. Beautiful paintings can grip me just as much as a good work of philosophy can, But lately beautiful paintings have been disgruntled and disavowed from public schema. If you want to provide good art for people to see, use hashtags and make fast fleeting content for people to consume easily and forget about. Such is the way of social media and how they grip you to keep using their products, It’s not a revolutionary idea but it’s a concept that ends up working. In a way I’d like to counteract this by making fast fleeting content but also putting in forth ideas and writings which I can consider good but we’ll see how that ends up panning out. My goals as an artist is for another topic entirely but really I need a way to practice my non-fiction writing skills and having a blog where I can just go on and on about pointless shit is good exercise. 2. I’ve stopped communicating to people that would point me to a direction in life I didn’t really need to go through and because of that I took a detour in my mental stability and mental development, really it wasn’t good for me. but because of that I was able to keep track of where I need to go and have removed all elements in my life that can allow me to find different paths and know where I’ll truly be. I could also just talk to people about these kinds of stuff but it’s hard to really find people who I can talk about the stuff I want to talk about with and nothing really beats writing a whole diatribe about whatever comes to your mind at the time. Why do I have a lot on my mind? You’ll hear that story in another time but it’s MOST likely an autism thing.

WHAT?

Look at section: Who again but to summarize and clarify what I mean. Content is fast fleeting and non-self actualizing, people don’t want ideas they want content, They need personalities to leech off and see themselves in instead of being creatives themselves. As someone who makes art and wants to make more art It’s hard to really judge if my art is worth it for the algorithm or if it’s worth it to bring in audience retention. Not to mention most people who use social media are kids, and the only way to grab kids attention is to play to their interests, play into their already corroded brains by playing onto their synapses, Not to imply I dislike it per say but more so that I feel that certain audience can somewhat affect your creative output.

It was a fine article but what I got out of it was how good it seems to use Medium to communicate and write articles like these, Until I realized that really it can only be used for more academic pieces and while sure I’d like to do that one day something more lowkey and personal was what I really needed. Hence a tumblr, originally a blogging website before being used to oxidize internet discourse and internet creativity in general, was a perfect outlet for these kinds of posts. I’m actually used to using tumblr for one and can edit and know my way around doing these sorts of posts and the archive feature is good if I ever want to look back on old posts as opposed to Twitter. I can use the ask feauture to take requests or have feedback on my posts in a more concise manner. Unlike Medium or Wordpress I can easily hide certain posts or even the entire account if I wanted too and I won’t be seen or be recommended by the algorithm because I won’t even put tags on these posts. If you know where to find me you know where to find me. Although I do think I’ll make this public at some point I atleast need to know if I’ll even use this or if I’ll even keep making the same kinds of posts as I’d want too.

WHY? 

I’ve already explained why you knucklehead, but I guess here were some of my inspirations to make a writing blog. I could list actual writers or twitter personalities or internet reviewers with blogs I can talk about, for example Yahtzee Crosshaw, Film Crit Hulk, Or even the elusive Andrew Hussie when he had a wordposts and while those people were instrumental to my development as a writer and artist I can’t say they were my full inspiration for making this.

Back in 2016, I was introduced to the Procrastinators’ Podcast by consuming Digibro content and having her podcast be linked at the end of one of her videos. I’ve since started concurrently watching her podcast and while I’ve always sucked into Digi’s cult of personality I’ve started appreciated her other friends in the podcast too, everyone except Nate. One of those members I gravitated too was MunchyWearsTinyHats. He was only one year older than me but I could still see myself in him and in effect appreciated him more than anyone in the podcast. We both seemingly grew up watching and reading the same shit, Homestuck, TF2, He introduced me to Nuclear Throne which because one of my favorite games and we both had the same appreciation for Hussie, Sam Hyde (sadly) Performance art, weird abstract art bullshit and of course My Little Pony. If I actually joined RFCK who knows what would’ve happened but that’s just my take. Of course a surface level description of Munchy aside, as someone who consumed everything he was in, I Lived my life vicariously through him and to all the members of the Procrastinators’ Podcast to an extent even though we both became completely different people as we reached our 20s. Currently he’s 20 and I’m less than a year away to being 20. But I feel as if our paths have drifted far enough that I can properly say I became a whole new different person to who I was in 2016. I still have appreciation for MLP, Homestuck and Minecraft and all the weird media shit me and him consumed. Back then I even modeled my art and persona to look like his too, It was a whole thing. Of course all of these posts and videos and personalities are very very out of date and they don’t reflect the content I consume or even the type of person I am now. I had a friend who also liked the PCP, well it was more like a love-hate relationship I feel but it was nice having someone who I could talk about the PCP with since at this time they were the only people or content creators I was consuming, what’s less said about current pcp the better. She’s always told me, I feel sorry for people who model their lives around these content creators and take advice from them since they clearly don’t know what they’re doing. And while I agree with her to an extent, I wouldn’t go as far as to discredit these artists accomplishments since they seem fulfilled with what they’ve made of themselves, not like we’re doing anything different or are any different to them. It’s about trying to live in a world with your own meaning in it and you can’t do that but disparaging the careers of grown men you don’t even know. Again topic for another day but I guess with this blog I’m always copying and ripping off some of their ideas for myself. In 2019, Munchy made a Tumblr where he’d detail and do the same thing and post blogs or writings he’s made or opinions he’s had, It hasn’t been updated in a year and a half but if it isn’t broke, don’t call the gas company asking for a refund. I even stole his alliteration with Shinsuke’s Soliloquy and Munchy’s Manuscripts, Shinsuke being my real God-given name. Of course the posts on his tumblr are really incredibly out of date and downright stupid and I’ll talk about them on their own on a seperate post since I feel like he really just didn’t know what he talked about and they’re baseline at best and wrong at worst. Regardless he still planted the seed of me as a person to make my own blog and talk about random bullshit.

HOW?

Obviously I will still tweet out stuff on my private twitter, Obviously I will still make art. Right now I’m making my own comics and writing a few short stories that maybe? I’ll put here I’m not really sure. Just depends on if they’re worthy on being posted since I’ll make a short story collection with them instead. Maybe I’ll continue the favorite character writing, maybe I’ll make my own picrew. We’ll see and no doubt these promises will become out of date in a week or two. Rather than the right of the moment malaise of tweeting around bullshit and sending it quickly I’ll use this for more concise text, something that I can sink my teeth in and tap away for what like 5 hours or so? Beats the essays i’d be doing but it doesn’t help that I am typing this in total silence, and I guess those essays will just be posted here. Do people post their school essays like they post their poems or their artwork for school? If you want to use my ask blog then it’s right there if you want a topic for me to talk about or just ask me a regular question. I’m bringing back tumblr asks to it’s real purpose. And of course, the only thing sure about me, is that nothings for sure.
